McKesson Silver Antimicrobial Wound Gel is an opaque, amorphous hydrogel with a high water content (>80%) and water-soluble polymer chains, designed to maintain a moist environment for optimal wound healing. Enriched with an antimicrobial silver compound (silver carbonate) at a nominal content of 0.11% (1100 mcg/g), it forms an effective barrier against bacterial penetration and inhibits the growth of a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including MRSA and E. coli. It effectively donates moisture to assist in the debridement and desloughing process of dry necrotic tissue, and is ideal for managing dry to moderately exuding partial and full-thickness wounds such as pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, first- and second-degree burns, graft/donor sites, and surgical incisions.
